The Nudge is a member’s space for all things happening in London. Providing guides featuring restaurants, must-see attractions and activities in the city, tailored to individual preferences.
Previously reliant on a website with articles for all their suggestions, The Nudge recognised the necessity of providing their members with an exclusive app.
This app serves as their new London guide, aimed at assisting members in rediscovering and navigating their city.
I closely collaborated with the founder to match the app with their company's tone and style.
The key features agreed for the first iteration were articles, discovery, advanced search & itineraries.
Articles and discovery were selected as they are perceived to be the fundamental selling points for their business, whereas advanced search and itineraries were newly introduced to enrich and improve the overall user experience.
Another addition to the discovery pipeline was map-based exploration. They aimed to empower members to navigate their city and uncover new locations using the map feature.
As advanced search, itineraries, and map-based discovery were new additions to The Nudge, I initiated the project by sketching various concepts for review.
After finalising a design that aligned with the project timeline, I created a higher-fidelity prototype for the client to interact with before finalising the design.
Following the final meeting with the client, I led the handover to our development team, responsible for translating the designs from Figma files into the finished product.
The next weeks followed a busy schedule of meetings with the developers to address and resolve any design issues that arose.
The app acts as an expanded version of its existing member hub.
Along with familiar features like articles and discovery, the app introduces a fresh approach to exploring places on the move, an improved search, and an itinerary feature.
